BLAIR 2nd POLICE QUIZ OVER CASH FOR HONOURS

1.19.29pm GMT Fri 2nd Feb 2007

Commenting on the news that Tony Blair has been questioned for a second time by police investigating cash-for-honours allegations, Liberal Democrat Sam Potts said, said:

"It is clear that this inquiry is going to haunt Tony Blair throughout his last months in office and beyond.

"What is important at this point is that Labour MPs stop sniping at the police from the sidelines and allow them to continue to do their job professionally.

"Once again this underlines the significance of securing reform of party funding and the House of Lords at the earliest possible opportunity."
