"It must never happen again" says Sam Potts

Stoke Goldington recently experienced floods which destroyed people's homes and gardens. Newly elected councillor Sam Potts has visited what he described as "complete destruction"

Sam has worked hard to get the best deal for local residents. He has fought for a full investigation to take place into all the factors relating to these floods. As a result of Sam's pressure, MK Council has agreed to carry out a full enquiry, costing £30,000 into what went wrong, and to look at what can be done to prevent it happening again.

Sam says: "Stoke Goldington is not on the flood plain. We need to look in depth at what went wrong here and do everything we can to make sure it doesn't happen again. Houses have been ruined and property destroyed. Although most of the damage happened in the centre of the village the garages at Town End Crescent were also affected."

"My thoughts and prayers go out to the residents and families that have

suffered I will be meeting with senior council staff to try and resolve

this issue."
