Sam Potts joined Jill Hope, Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for our area, in a meeting with Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary, Nick Clegg MP to discuss a number of issues involving crime in the rural areas which are all too often neglected by an overstretched police force.

Sam Potts told Nick Clegg MP how Thames Valley Police Authority and the Labour Government has short changed the villages in the number of police on the beat. Nick Clegg MP will be looking into the issues raised by Sam.

The Liberal Democrat 5 step plan to cut crime:

1 More police on patrol instead of wasting money on a national ID Card scheme

2 Compulsory work and training in prisons to cut re-offending

3 Better compensation for victims paid by prison work

4 Take back our town centres, let communities close pubs and clubs that cause trouble

5 Make sentences mean what they say. Life should mean life.
