Conservative Councillors refuse to support fixing the potholes

Liberal Democrat Councillor Sam Potts has slammed the Conservative Group on Milton Keynes Council for refusing to support extra money to fixing the pot holes. The poor weather which has led to so many more pot holes this year need urgent action.

Liberal Democrat Cllr Douglas McCall urged the Conservatives to put politics to one side and support an extra 10p a week on the council tax to sort out the pot holes in Milton Keynes.

Cllr Sam Potts said, “Conservative councillors should be working to deal with vital issues in Milton Keynes. Instead they have decided to turn their back on every person in Milton Keynes who wants the roads sorted out, every car owner and in fact every resident in the Borough of Milton Keynes.

He went on to say; “The Conservatives had the opportunity to amend the council budget, they could have made an alternative budget. But instead they played their normal game of sniping and running our area down. Whilst they do that Liberal Democrats and I will get on with the job of working for our citizens.
