OfSTED has placed MK Children’s Services in the top 4 of fastest improving authorities in the country. Most of our local Children’s Services have been assessed as “good or better”, a radical turnaround from December 2008 when services were found to be inadequate. OfSTED has highlighted the rapid and sustained improvement of services that were “performing poorly” to “performing well”, the second highest rating that can be awarded. The continued improvement recognised by OfSTED is tremendous news for families in MK.
LibDem councillor Sam Potts, who is Milton Keynes Youth Champion said, “The LibDem Council is not complacent. We are already working on action plans to address the areas for development identified by OfSTED. The council will continue to be a strong voice for children and young people, as we continue our journey towards outstanding.”
